At the Parkview Campus of Mid Coast-Parkview Health in Brunswick, Maine
We need your support to bring this beautiful memorial butterfly garden to Midcoast Maine. Can we count on your support?
A PLACE TO GATHER AND HEAL
Our mission and vision at Madeline’s Mission is to rally the community to support and uplift families who experience the untimely death of a child. In creating this space, the first of it’s kind in the Midcoast region, parents and families will see and feel that they are not alone in their grief and they will have a special place to memorialize their child. Madeline’s Mission will also organize annual gatherings in the space.
A PLACE FOR FAMILIES TO REMEMBER THEIR CHILD
With a generous gift of space from Mid Coast-Parkview Health, Madeline’s Mission aims to create a memorial garden for families wanting to honor their child or baby that has died. Located by a beautiful little pond on the Parkview campus of Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine, the Madeline’s Mission Memorial Garden will provide a space for families to remember and honor their child with a butterfly sculpture in their honor. The Madeline’s Mission Children’s Memorial Garden will create a serene space for reflection and healing.
THANK YOU to the incredible team at Mid Coast-Parkview Health for this generous donation of land!
BUTTERFLY GARDEN
The heartstring and central feature of this garden is our butterfly garden. Fixed into a granite base, bronze butterflies will sit atop stainless steel rods. Families will be able to personalize a butterfly in memory of their beloved child. This whimsical piece will flutter from side to side in the gentle breeze.
We need your support.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Madeline’s Mission is asking for your financial support and in-kind donations to help create this garden.
We are currently seeking:
- Financial donations
- Landscaping support
- Granite blocks and stone pavers
- Seating made from stone or other organic materials
- Volunteer to lend your talents
**Please note- we are not yet reserving butterflies for the garden in order to focus on fundraising for the creation of the structure.
