REMEMBERING AND REBUILDING
After services end, grieving families are faced with finding their “new normal”. Madeline’s Mission seeks to provide opportunities to unite such as:
· Referrals to counseling and grief supports
· Respite night out for parents/ guardians
· Follow-up support for families, and connecting with their care network
· Age specific sibling support playgroups/ gatherings
· Healing gifts such as memory bears, quilts, worry eaters
· Support groups with topic based meetings
· Family gatherings, such as BBQs, to unite families with similar experiences
· Self-care for adults
· Holiday and “firsts” support
· Connecting with the child’s school counselors and brainstorming and assisting to
implement strategies for healing for the child’s friends and peers
